The JackLightPro tm was designed by a tire shop owner who was frustrated by all the damage to customer’s cars caused by workers jacking up cars in the wrong place. With the trend towards lower profile tires and even lower road clearance of newer cars, the ability to see under cars was severely limited. In most repair shops, the main light is overhead; making it is almost impossible to see underneath most low profile autos.

After spending thousands on repairs he tried to find a light that could solve this problem. Unable to find anything from auto shop suppliers or retailers, he designed his own light and has saved thousands in unnecessary repairs. The light uses three LED bulbs that have a useful life of 100,000 hours. It runs off three AAA batteries, which last about 48 hours.

The trick was finding a light source that was bright enough to light up the underside of the auto without blinding the user. It is no good if the user is seeing spots after he looks under the car. So after some trial and error the present combination was settled on and the lights went into production. The current light presents a tight circle of light to aim the jack plate towards plus an abundant amount of spill light. It allows the user to see what they should be missing!!
